High-saturation, deconstructed glamour magick carryall handbag specializing in expansion.
CONTAINER.05 began with an pair of hot-magenta stretch jeans and the deep urge to give them a new purpose.
The denim was hand-cut into strips and knit into the body of the bag, then interrupted with crocheted bands of cobalt nylon , chartreuse linen, and metallic fuchsia latex. A paracord drawstring with beaded ends cinches the whole colorful heap together.
And she not only takes up space, she stretches. The lycra denim knitted construction gives the bag a surprising amount of give, so what looks like a relatively compact little container can accommodate a disrespectful volume of stuff.
The raw-cut denim, nylon, and linen will soften and fray with use, changing the texture and making the bag a little hairier and stranger as it lives on.
Two steel rings have been integrated into the crochet for alternative straps, charms, or any other minutae that you'd prefer this bag not swallow up whole.
