Transmuted silk and nylon beehive-shaped evening bag with neon yellow matte glass beads.
Repurposed sari silk has been expertly cut into strips, dyed with moody greys and sparse flecks of fuschia, and woven into a body of industrial, deep black nylon webbing. a contrast of soft and hard, organic and predictable, mottled and solid.
Handmade matte glass beads are generously scattered throughout the bag’s body, peppering it with joy and texture.
Container.02 has an insouciant intentionality. The deliberately unconventional mix of materials along with its versatile shape and size make it work as well with jeans as it does with sequins.
