IV. The Whirled

For the next symbolic presence in this spread, may I present to you:  The Whirled.

The Whirled's main act is a formidable turbo shell with black mottling and an otherworldly inner sanctum of pearlescence, revealed on the outer layers through erosion as the evidence of time.

This piece implies the ancient symbolism of the spiral, along with the primordial authority of the ocean and one of its most fascinating phenomenons: the whirlpool.

Whirlpools are created through two colliding, opposing forces.  The result is an unstoppable vortex, pulling in everything in its vicinity and flinging it around and around until it ultimately goes down the drain.  For me, it's a highly significant metaphor for everyday challenges and the way that growth and breakthrough tends to move.  It's not linear.  It's the same curriculum, around and around, until finally I've been sucked in and spit out on the other side.

The Whirled is a reminder that we can stop forcing the lesson.  It will happen when it will happen, it will do what it needs to do, and when it does, the breakthrough will come once the center is reached.

This piece is multiwear, meaning that a pendant necklace is only one of the ways to do it.  It can also be wrapped into a choker, bracelet, anklet, or worn as a belt.
