GREEK HORUS NECKLACE

A collar necklace talisman made possible by the experience of uncomplicated, unceremonious, powerful love. 

This piece is about being witnessed and met exactly where you are.  No ulterior motive, no hidden game, no secret competition.  The intention is as pure and uncomplicated as a shot of light in the dark: “I see you, I love you, and I want you to win”.

A single vintage lampwork heart moves freely on a vintage sterling silver chain made of tiny heart links, its rhythm independent but tethered, bearing witness to a solid, luminous slice of natural amethyst stalactite. The heart doesn’t anchor the piece. It responds to it.  Hearts-on-hearts-on-hearts because it's sincere, not self-conscious.

In Greek mythology, amethyst is the stone born from Bacchus’ regret; a symbol of sobriety and clarity. Booze or no booze, amethyst has long been associated with clearing the channels and cultivating serenity rooted in reality, what Anne Lamott calls the really real. This specimen doesn’t hide its history. Its layers are on full display, revealing the structure that yielded the sparkle.

Encircling the neck, mint-toned freshwater pearls (with two chartreuse outliers) dance among naturally occurring garnet in many forms:  raw hunks, spheres, diamonds, long rectangles. The garnet spacers are truly special here; grounding energy, but make it a dance.  It’s loving, vital support minus any residue of rigidity or control.

A vintage carved orange jade flower and two dalmatian jasper rounds punctuate the necklace like a knowing, playful smirk.  Inside the guardrails of the playpen is when it really gets fun.

This piece is about soul connection without enmeshment. Parallel growth. Separate strings, shared clarity. The joy of loving someone without managing them.
