Hand-cut, hand-built, and unapologetically alive. CONTAINER.01 is the first of Clown Chakra’s talismanic bags.

An assemblage of an array of past lives, CONTAINER.01 was composed of various textiles whose textures and weight insisted upon their own reincarnation.  A silky viscose little black dress, a delicate blue prom gown, glittery black metallic denim, a high-visibility work t-shirt, and remnants of gauze and shimmer have been broken down and reassembled into something with far more presence than any of them had alone.

The body is dense and sculptural while remaining light enough for ease in humid temperatures.  It’s satisfyingly tactile and comforting, cushioned in the hand or on the arm. Matte knots collide with flashes of gloss and neon, then soften into frayed pale edges that read like resurfaced memories. The metallic threads catch light in small, deliberate flickers.

Nothing is printed. Nothing is flat. Every inch has been physically worked into the whole.

Spacious enough to function as a true carryall, the nature of the weaving of CONTAINER.01 is such that it conforms to the mass placed inside of it.

CONTAINER.01 is a quiet rebellion, down to the way it was brought into being.  Materials diverted, reimagined, elevated through instinct rather than mass repetition. The result is something with weight, texture, human-borne variance, and the kind of emotional, human quality that can’t be manufactured on an assembly line.
