CHROMATIC AGENDA NECKLACE

A collar necklace born of an aesthetic urge that really just needed to be manifested.

A strand of chartreuse freshwater pearls sets the rhythm. Soft, amorphous, luminous. Pearls have always been about boundaries made beautiful, irritation alchemized into grace, strength that doesn’t harden.  They’re punctuated by a small smattering of the most “alien” pearls in the vintage stash; highly irregular and with strong iridescence.  Not too much dissonance, but not too little. 

Scattered mint glass spacers lift the palette and keep it breathing. A single vintage Swarovski crystal flashes briefly, then disappears back into the flow. Just a small hit of texture to further break up the  repetition. 

At the center, an organic vintage handmade lampwork glass bead holds a clear, aqueous body with a deep, muted plum core, like a thought suspended mid-sentence or a sliver of kelp in the ocean. A simple intention really, it’s just devastatingly good against chartreuse.

Sterling silver clasp. One of a kind. Made slowly, by hand, with an eye toward restraint.

A talisman for humans who are comfortable with their inner aesthete and everything that it just knows.
